CHICAGO – Adrian College has been named the NCAA Division III College of the Month by Next College Student Athlete (NCSA), one of the largest college athletic recruiting networks in the country. This news comes on the heels of the NCSA’s Power Rankings released last month that recognized six Bulldog Athletic Programs as the best in the country.
The decision for College of the Month is based on the amount of NCSA users that favorite a school in the system. A favorite means the school is in a recruit’s top choices and is strongly considering attending that school. The schools with the most favorites in the month win the award. According to NCSA, Adrian finished with 598 favorites in the past month to top Division III
“This is a testament to the work our coaches and admissions staff have done to sell the Adrian College experience to these recruits,” director of athletics Mike Duffy said. “We are getting the message out that you can get a great education here at Adrian and also excel in athletics and find extracurricular activities you enjoy.”
Director of Admissions Joseph VanGeison also recognizes the significance of this award, saying “It is an honor to be recognized by NCSA as a College of the Month. This distinction is a reflection of our staff at Adrian College; we are very lucky to have such amazing coaches at Adrian and recruits seem to be taking note of the quality our coaches and facilities provide.”
Joining Adrian College as Colleges of the Month are Duke University in Division I, Wingate University in Division II, Grand View University in the NAIA, and Blinn College for Junior Colleges. Information on all of the Colleges of the Month can be found in the NCSA’s blog here.
