ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College acrobatics and tumbling team hosted a tri-match against Alderson Broaddus and Hawaii Pacific. The Sharks finished first in the meet with a total meet score of 272.995. The Battlers finished second with 265.715 and the Bulldogs finished third with 139.175.
Hawaii Pacific held a slight lead following the compulsory event with a score of 38.80. Alderson Broaddus was second with 38.15 followed by Adrian with 29.90.
The teams finished in the same order after the Acro event. The Sharks finished the event with a score of 29.70, the Battlers had 29.60, and the Bulldogs finished with 25.75.
For the pyramid event, Hawaii Pacific scored two straight 9.90 scores to end the event with a total of 29.50. Alderson Broaddus had two consecutive scores of 9.75 in heat two and three to end the event behind the Sharks with a score of 29.15. Adrian scored an 8.75 in heat one and an 8.65 in heat three for an event total of 25.75
The scores at halftime were the Sharks leading with a meet total of 98.00, the Battlers in second with 96.90 and the Bulldogs with 82.10.
For the toss event, Hawaii Pacific finished just ahead of Alderson Broaddus with an event score of 28.30 while the Battlers had 28.25. Adrian finished the event with a score of 22.45.
With only the team routine remaining, the Sharks led the meet with a score of 180.225. The Battlers were second with a meet total of 176.925. The Bulldogs did not compete in the team routine due to roster size and finished the meet with a score of 139.175.
Hawaii Pacific closed out the meet with a team routine score of 92.77 for a meet total of 272.995. The Battlers scored 88.79 for a meet total of 265.715.
Adrian will close out the 2017 season on the road at Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday, April 8. The meet is set to start at 3:00 p.m.
