ALBION, Mich.--The Adrian College equestrian program continued its postseason push over the weekend with terrific performances at the Albion College Hunt Seat Show held at the Nancy G. Held Equestrian Center.
The Bulldogs qualified four riders--including two in multiple events--for regional competition on Sunday, March 19, also hosted by Albion. Adrian made further team history as junior Morgan Leja and freshman Sara Hossak earned high-point and reserve high-point champion, respectively, for overall riders of the show on Saturday.
"Our team placed fourth overall on Saturday out of 14 teams, and only nine points separated the top-five teams," said Adrian first-year head coach Jody Prime. "I'm so proud of the girls this season."
Individual highlights include...
Saturday (4th place as a team):
Leja--Took first place in intermediate over fences and is now heading to regional competition as a result, and she came in second in open flat.
