Top-10 of 2015-16: Two Regional Champions and a National Qualifier for Equestrian Ranks Fourth on the Countdown

ADRIAN, Mich.--For the next week, we'll count down the Drive for Five in the top-10 of Adrian College Athletics stories on AdrianBulldogs.com from the 2015-16 academic year. Thanks to our visitors for submitting nominations on our Facebook, Twitter pages and via email. So without further ado, drumroll please....

The No. 4 entry on our countdown is Bulldogs Equestrian which set program records for highest placings during the course of last season, saw two regional champions and sent a qualifier to the national Intercollegiate Horse Show Association finals for the first time ever.

As a sophomore, Rachel Kanaziz finished in fifth place in a Division I-dominated field in the IHSA Stock novice horsemanship in Kentucky.

Like Kanaziz in Stock novice horsemanship, classmate Taylor VanMaele also won claimed a regional championship in the Hunt seat novice over fences in Illinois. VanMaele fell just shy of joining Kanaziz at the IHSA Nationals after coming in fifth place in the Zone Championships.

The Bulldogs completed their first season under new coach Jaclynn Gray.
