ALBION, Mich.--Sophomore Alana Pastula took first place at the Albion College Hunt Show on Saturday, leading the Adrian College equestrian team to a tie for eighth place among 14 schools. The team also turned in a trio of second-place ribbons from junior Brandi Hawkins, sophomore Sam Roessler and freshman Vanessa Wandel.
Adrian will be sending juniors Kari Klager and Morgan Pearce to the regional meet hosted by the University of Michigan on Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Willowbrooke Farm in Plymouth. Teammates Morgan Petriko, a three-year regional qualifier in her four-year Bulldogs' career, and Pastula fell just short of a qualification.
"Over the past four years I've seen this team and program have tremendous growth; it will only continue from here on out," Petriko said. "I'm thankful for the opportunity I've had with this team and I can't wait to see what's in store for the program in the future."
