ADRIAN, Mich.--Last week, the Adrian College American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division I women's ice hockey program took a break from classes to gladly partake in a community service project.
The Bulldogs and alumna Summer Frey '16 raised money for the local Alzheimer's Association by participating in the Walk To End Alzheimer's at Adrian College.
"It was a wonderful day spent with joining families, loved ones, and friends by participating in the Walk To End Alzheimer's," stated fourth-year Adrian coach Brett Berger. "Throughout the day, the money raised was just under $50,000 and collected for the local Alzheimer's Association. This fundraiser also was about bringing awareness for the Alzheimer's disease.
"It takes a community to make a difference" and the team was very honored to help, he said.
