Nicholas Jackson Earns First MIAA Men's Field Athlete of the Week Honor

FREELAND, MICH. -- Adrian College freshman jumper Nicholas Jackson (Champaign, Ill.) was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) men's field athlete of the week by the league office this afternoon.

Jackson finished this weekend by winning the men's high jump at Siena Heights on Friday, April 20, clearing the bar at 2.08 meters. That mark was a career-best and ties him at eighth in the nation with teammate Jordan Davis.

This was the first athlete of the week award for Jackson's career and the third for the Bulldogs this year.

Adrian will compete in the Gina Relays this week at Hillsdale before returning home to host the MIAA Championships on Thursday and Friday, May 3-4, 2018.
