Two Bulldogs Pick Up Indoor Track and Field Weekly Honors

FREELAND, Mich. – Sophomores Nicholas Jackson and Britney Carnagie have been named Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) for the week of Jan. 14-20 the league office announced Monday. Jackson won the Men's Field Athlete of the Week award while Carnagie was named the Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

Jackson finished atop the leaderboard in the high jump at the Tiffin Open with a height of 2.02-meters. This height puts him tied for sixth in the nation at the Division III level, along with teammate Daz Lawrence. Carnagie finished second in the 60-meter hurdles at the Tiffin Open but her time of 9.55 currently puts her first in the MIAA for the women's 60-meter hurdles race.

The Bulldogs are back in action this weekend at the Defiance Invitational hosted by Defiance College. Adrian will be joined at the event by fellow MIAA schools Alma and Olivet.
