Top-10 of 2015-16: #10 Bass Fishing Ranked No. 1 in the Nation in September

ADRIAN, Mich.--For the next two weeks, we'll count down the top-10 Adrian College Athletics stories on AdrianBulldogs.com from the 2015-16 academic year. Thanks to our visitors for submitting nominations on our Facebook, Twitter pages and via email. So without further ado, drumroll please....

The No. 10 entry on our countdown is Bass Fishing which finished its first season in September ranked atop the college fishing world as the No. 1 team in the Cabela's Collegiate Bass Fishing poll by the Association of Collegiate Anglers--comprised of 300-plus schools. The team was ranked in the top spot for most of the month.

Led by Adrian head coach Seth Borton, Bass Fishing joins NCAA Men's Hockey as the two sports at the College to achieve a No. 1 national ranking.

In addition, a pair of Adrian boats qualified for the 2016 Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) College National Championships from March 17-19 on Lake Keowee in Seneca, S.C., where the Bulldogs finished seventh and 16th out of 54 boats.
