SAN ANTONIO, Texas--Adrian College Bass Fishing will make an appearance on the 2018 Season of Cabela's Collegiate Bass Fishing Tournament Series™ that will air on the Discovery Channel, beginning on Sunday (July 8). Fans of the Cabela's Collegiate Bass Fishing Tournament Series™ can tune in every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. EDT throughout the summer to see latest college bass fishing action.
As the season unfolds, some of the highlighted coverage seen on the Discovery Channel this summer will include the Texas Lunker Challenge presented by Mossy Oak on Sam Rayburn Reservoir, the Cabela's Collegiate Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley on Kentucky Lake; and finally, the series makes its way to the most prestigious event of the year, the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Cabela's on Pickwick Lake, Florence, Ala. With jam-packed action on the water, including coverage of the Cabela's School of Year race presented by Abu Garcia, this season is sure to be one for the record books.
The Bulldogs, who ended up seventh nationally in the recently-completed Cabela's School of the Year race in May, have already gotten off to a splashy start toward next season's competition that will end in May 2019. Led by fourth-year head coach Seth Borton, Adrian had first-place finishes at the Fishing League Worldwide Collegiate Open at Gilbertsville, Ky., on Kentucky Lake in March and the B.A.S.S Carhartt College Southern Tour on Pickwick Lake the following month. In the aforementioned events that Discovery Channel will focus on, Nick Marsh placed 32nd of 212 anglers in the Texas Lunker Challenge to open the Bulldogs schedule in February, Jack Hippe had a second-place showing at the Big Bass Bash, and Adrian produced a 35th-place boat (Marsh/Hippe) in the Cabela's/BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championships.
