Tommy Parsons Fans A Dozen in Bulldogs' 12-9 Heartbreaking Defeat to Keystone in Florida

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.--Adrian College senior pitcher Tommy Parsons had 12 strikeouts in a no-decision on Friday, but the Bulldogs were unable to keep a lead in the ninth inning to fall 12-9 at the hands of Keystone College in their 2018 Snowbird Collegiate Baseball Classic debut.

Adrian falls even to 3-3 on the season while the Giants out of the Colonial States Athletic Conference improve to 6-5.

Parsons threw 122 pitches, 96 for strikes, over eight innings. With 12 strikeouts today, he surpassed Keith Bozyk (194, 1991-95) into fourth place on the school's all-time list with 196. Parsons issued no walks.

The Adrian offense generated 16 hits.

Keystone, however, scored seven runs in the top of the ninth to erase an 8-5 deficit turning into a 12-8 lead. The Giants rallied with four walks, a hitbatsman, three hits and two AC errors.

Adrian is scheduled to play Denison University on Day 2 of the Snowbird on Saturday, starting at 3 p.m. Denison Sports Information will have a radio broadcast and LiveStats.
