Men's Bowling Finishes Eighth at Rochester College Warrior Fall Classic

TROY, Mich.--The Adrian College men's bowling team made its 2018-19 season debut on Saturday at the Rochester College Warrior Fall Classic at Bowl One Lanes. The Bulldogs took the challenge against 16 other teams, finishing in eighth place with 6,345 pins.

The Bulldogs had three student-athletes place in the top-25, including sophomore Chase Fleming who scored a 784 for four games for 10th place; junior Jadin Majewski (752, 16th); and junior Austin Foate (735, 25th). In addition, freshman Jason Chadwick got a notable score of 186 for his first at the college level; that was the only game he threw. Freshman Mark Meade also had a great start with a 203 as one of his three games he threw. Jansen Stone, Tanner Wiedmeyer and Chase Gebhardt rounded out the rest of the team.

From the team aspect, Adrian was one pin over ninth-place Georgian College which knocked down 6,344 pins. Other notable teams the Bulldogs finished higher in the standings included Olivet College, Judson College, Saginaw Valley State, Youngstown State and Indiana State universities.

Concordia University (7,003), Bowling Green State University (6,871) and Siena Heights University (6,744) were the top three teams in the men's division.

The next tournament will be the UPIKE Orange and Black Classic, taking place on October 13-14 on Saturday and Sunday. It is being hosted in Beaverceek, Ohio (Beaver-Vu Bowl) by the University of Pikeville.
