ADRIAN, Mich.--Adrian College racked up school records of 763 yards of total offense and 644 on the ground to whip visiting Rockford, 62-7, in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Challenge on Saturday.

= Junior-eligible Emmanuel Stewart rumbled for 185 yards on just 11 carries and two touchdowns...in the first half.
= Junior Jerron McGaw had game highs of four receptions and 51 yards.
= Senior outside linebacker Lawrence Austin led the defense with five tackles (3 solo), including half a sack, and had a fumble recovery.
= Senior placekicker Cameron Cook was perfect on eight extra-point attempts and two field goal tries.
= Chance Manning rushed 10 times for 61 yards, including a long of 17.
= Phillip Robinson had a 46-yard touchdown reception.
= Jallen Bashford led five RU tacklers in double digits with 14 total (7 total), followed by Dylan Peterson with 13 (5 solo), Chase Ferree (8 solo) and Austin Carlson (6) with 11 each, and Jared Johnson had 10 (6 solo).
HOW IT HAPPENED
= On a night when the Adrian coaching staff was able to utilize much of the bench, the Bulldogs raced to a 35-0 halftime lead and never looked back.
= Stewart punctuated the Bulldogs' first possession with a one-yard TD plunge, capping a seven-play, 80-yard drive in 2 minutes and 21 seconds to put the home team up 7-0 with 9:37 left in the first quarter.
= Robinson spoiled the AC defense's shutout bid when he had a 46-yard catch-and-run down the Bulldogs sideline with 2 minutes remaining in the contest.
= Adrian held Rockford to 191 total yards (73 passing, 118 rushing) and 10 first downs, while enjoying a huge margin in time of possession at 38:24 to 21:36.
= Bulldogs scoring their first career TDs tonight were Randle (2-yard rushing) and sophomore tight end Joe Cleary (15-yard reception),

= The previous school records for total yards in a game was 667 at Husson on Sep. 2, 2011, and net yards rushing was against Alma (556) on Oct. 10, 2015.
= Cook set a school record for points in a game by a kicker with 14 (8 PAT, 2 FG), breaking his own mark of 12 (at Pacific, Sep. 2, 2016) shared by Justin Warner (vs Wisconsin Lutheran on Oct 27, 2007).
= Adrian also notched 37 first downs, which is believed to be another school benchmark.
= Stewart upped his career total to 2,780 yards rushing, going over the 100-yard mark tonight for the 13th time. The AC all-time rushing record belongs to Chris Clay, who had 2,969 from 2002 to 2005.
= This was the first meeting against the Regents, who are from Rockford, Ill. The Bulldogs improved to 5-1 in the MIAA-NACC Challenge, which ties with Hope, Olivet and Trine for the MIAA lead. In all, the Association is 31-11 versus the NACC.
= The 87 plays (70 rush, 17 pass) for the Adrian offense are tied for the third-most in team history.
= The Bulldogs also set a school record for most all-purpose yards gained in a game (854) when you factor in the 91 total return yards. The previous record was 831 at Kalamazoo College on Oct 3, 2009.
