FREELAND, Mich.--Adrian College sophomore men's golfer Andrew Skibski (Monroe, Mich. / St. Mary's Catholic Central High School) has been named second-team All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, for his performance during the fall season.
A four-time team medalist this fall, Skibski averaged 75.8 strokes for 10th place in conference play and a 75.2 overall. Among his highlights were a 1-under-par 71 at Trine (Sep. 10) and an even-par 72 at Calvin (Sep. 26).
"Andrew played well all year for us. He has shown great consistency and has been the guy we lean on as a team day-in and day-out," stated four-year Adrian coach Ryan Williams.
"The league is as strong top to bottom as I've ever seen it, so it makes it that much more impressive to make it on to an all-conference team. Andrew should be very proud of this honor, and I am glad to see that it makes him hungry to achieve more. I am very excited to have Andrew back for two more years and to see what he can do."
Skibski is a reigning All-MIAA Honor Roll standout.
