HARDEEVILLE, S.C.--The Adrian College men's golf team produced five top-20 individual finishes at the nine-team Pfeiffer University Invitational, which concluded after 36 holes on Tuesday at the 6,952-yard course on The Club at Hilton Head Lakes. As a team, the Bulldogs improved two shots and jumped a place for third, tied at 316+314=630.
Senior Andrew Skibski led the Bulldogs with a 79+77=156 for eighth place out of a field of 46 student-athletes, followed by Freshman A.J. Clark with a 76+83=159 (T-12th), sophomore Hayden Winch with a 80+78=158 (T-10th), freshman Jackson Tellerico with a 82+78=160 (T-15th) and sophomore Brett McGugan with an 81+81=162 (T-18th). Sophomore Noah Kosal (86+79=165, T=24th) and Grant Terris (90+88=178, T-40th) competed as individuals for the Bulldogs, who were ahead of NCAA Division II Alderson Broaddus (347+331=678, 7th).
Division II Mars Hill led the team standings with a 292+306=598 and the host Pfeiffer Falcons, who are a former Division I program, wound up eighth at 347+340=687.
Mars Hill teammates Stephen Thomasson (71+74=145, 1st) and Luke Challis (73+75=148, T-2nd) ranked 1-2 on the individual leaderboard.
