WAUKESHA, Wis.--Adrian College sophomore left wing Trevor Boyd has been selected the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week, for the period ending Sunday. That announcement was made on Tuesday by the league office.
Boyd compiled six points on two goals and four assists during the nationally-ranked Bulldogs (No. 3 D3hockey.com, No. 6 USCHO.com) two-game sweep at NCHA foe Northland College, 6-2 and 5-3. In Friday's win, he paced the offense with a pair of goals (giving leads of 1-0 and 4-2) and an assist. In Saturday's victory, he tied his career high for total points (3) and assists (3) in a game.
He also led the team with 13 shots on goal and a plus-4 rating.
For the season, Boyd has scoring totals of 3+6=9 in four games to lead the NCHA in point-scoring at 2.25 per game, which also ranks third in NCAA Division III.
