THE OPPOSITION
= Dominick Sacco and Brad Pung scored for the Green Knights.

= Pung was 14-for-30 on face-offs and was one of four SNC skaters with three shots on goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED
= Both goaltenders had to make outstanding stops from close range as the score could have been much higher.

= In the extra session, the Bulldogs gained a turnover at the SNC blueline as senior Austin Rust produced the takeaway and sent the puck to Matson on the left-wing board. Matson then sent a pass across the ice that caromed off the right wing board to Dunn, who fired the puck toward the goal through traffic and it went past the goalie's blocker.

= Adrian forced overtime on Matson's second goal of the season on a tip-in from in front of the net. The tying marker, 2-2, came at 11:44 of the third period.

= Boyd got the Bulldogs on the scoreboard at 12:56 of the second period with his 10th tally of the season.

= Sacco gave SNC a 1-0 lead at 6:32 into the opening stanza and Pung stretched the advantage to 2-0 just 52 seconds into the second.

= With the Green Knights leading 2-0 early in the second period, Adrian was whistled for a five-minute major along with a Green Knight going into the penalty box for a two-minute minor. As a result, the Bulldogs eventually had to kill off a three-minute disadvantage which they did successfully by allowing no official shots. That was a turning point in the contest.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= SNC maintains a slim 9-7 all-time series lead, but Adrian moves to 5-3 at home versus the Green Knights--who saw their overall series win streak snapped at four games.

= The last three meetings have been decided by one goal, twice going into overtime.

= The Green Knights fall to 7-7 in No. 1 vs No. 2 games (as determined by the USCHO rankings), as they have been No. 2 in six such occasions.

= Adrian senior Kyle Brothers appeared in his 100th career game, as he is the Bulldogs' active career leader in assists (90) and total points (137).

= During the squad's season-long eight-game win streak, the Bulldogs have allowed only 10 goals while the offense has generated 32.

= Dunn takes over the AC scoring lead with 22 points on three goals and 19 assists.

= Adrian owns the second-longest unbeaten streak currently in NCAA Division III, behind University of New England's 14 (13-0-1).
