Men's Hockey Draws MSOE in NCHA Harris Cup Quarterfinals; Reminder About Ticket Info

ADRIAN, Mich.--Adrian College will begin the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Harris Cup Playoffs the same way it ended the regular season: a matchup with Milwaukee School of Engineering (9-12-4 overall, 7-8-3 NCHA).
 
The host Bulldogs (NCHA South Division #1 seed) and Raiders (NCHA South Division #4 seed) will tangle in a two-game quarterfinal series on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15-16, at the Arrington Ice Arena. Game times are 7:05 p.m. and 3:05 p.m., respectively. There will be a mini-game, if necessary, immediately following Game 2.
 
Ticket prices are $10 for reserved seating, $7 for standing room and students are free of charge with proper school identification. Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at noon (ET), and available online at https://www.etix.com/ticket/v/11841/arrington-ice-arena
 
Adrian, which is eighth in both the USCHO.com and D3hockey.com national rankings, has won four NCHA South Division titles in a row with a 13-4-1 final league mark. The Bulldogs are 18-6-1 overall, riding a season-long five-game winning streak into the postseason.
 
Adrian defeated MSOE at home on Jan. 18, 3-1, and on the road in Saturday's regular-season finale in Milwaukee, 1-0. The Bulldogs have six 20-point scorers led by three-time AHCA/CCM All-America senior defenseman and captain Cory Dunn with 25 on five goals and 20 assists. Senior forwards Trevor Boyd (22 points) and Bryan Yim (21) both have a team-leading 13 goals. Senior netminder Kevin Entmaa is 14-4-1 with a 2.05 goals-against average, .908 save percentage and a personal-record four shutouts this season. For the Raiders, Garrett Gintoli (10 goals, 7 assists) and Jeff Makowski (6+11) leads the offense with 17 points apiece, while Rock Boynton--76 saves in two appearances against AC this season--owns a 9-9-3 record, 2.63 GAA and .911 save percentage.
 
All told, Adrian is 28-4 in the conference playoffs with seven Harris Cup championships (the last coming in 2016). The Bulldogs lead MSOE in the all-time series, 37-5-2, and 21-3-2 in Adrian. The schools will be meeting in the postseason for the 10th time, with Adrian winning seven of eight of those previous contests. Adrian ousted the Raiders in the 2018 NCHA Quarterfinals, 3-2 and 6-3.
 
The NCHA Semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23, and the Harris Cup Championship for Saturday, March 2.
