Bulldogs Stymied by Rose-Hulman in Men's Tennis Action in Florida

ORLANDO--Adrian College's men's tennis team lost to Rose-Hulman, 8-1, on Day 2 of its spring break trip in the Sunshine State on Tuesday.

Adrian drops to 1-4 on the season while the Fightin' Engineers improve to 3-4 overall. R-H is the second opponent from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in as many days that the Bulldogs have faced (lost 5-4 to Hanover on Monday).

Senior Jonathon Rhind continued his strong play this week as he picked up Adrian's lone point, a 6-1, 6-2 win over Jacob Pluta at No. 6 singles. Rhind is 3-1 in singles and doubles combined so far this spring.

Ian Landwehr led the Engineers with a pair of victories at No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles.

Adrian is scheduled to play a doubleheader here at the USTA Tennis Center on Wednesday against Saint Mary's (Minn.) and Concordia-Moorhead. The latter match is planned to be streamed live video carried by USTA National Campus.
