ORLANDO, Fla. – The Adrian College men's tennis team won its first match of the spring season on Monday, March 4 defeating DeSales University 5-4 at the USTA National Tennis Center.

The Bulldogs took two doubles matches with a pair of 8-2 victories at #2 and #3 doubles. The junior tandem of Nathan Waterbury and Tanner Wilcox got the job done in the two spot while junior Nolan Duda and freshman Cameron Rafinski took the match at three doubles to help Adrian take a 2-1 advantage into singles play.

Wilcox stayed hot in the singles, winning at the two spot, 6-0, 6-1. Rafinski also won his singles match in convincing fashion, taking the fourth singles match, 6-1, 6-2. AC's final win came at three singles, where sophomore Ronald Ducharme won 6-1, 6-2 for the match. Adrian was competitive in two singles losses, with Duda falling 3-6, 5-7 in the six slot and junior Kyle Haines losing in a ten-point tiebreaker at five singles, 6-1, 4-6, 4-10.

Adrian is back in action later today when the Bulldogs take on Wabash at 6 p.m.
