ADRIAN, Mich.--Third-year Adrian College men's wrestling head coach Bill Schindel will be a podcast guest on MichiganGrappler.com on Tuesday, Aug. 21, starting at noon. Listeners can tune-in by logging onto this link.

In his first two seasons, Schindel has been building a foundation of success for the future of the program that has made strides in 2017 and 2018. Some of the accomplishments include NCAA Division III national qualifier Zach Rieger who is Adrian's only multiple National Wrestling Coaches Association Scholar All-America recipient. Rieger last season set the school record for career victories while ranking among the national leaders in pinfalls, while sophomore Dylan Steward and freshman Jake Burns joined Rieger to combine for nine invitational titles.

Active in the community, Schindel also organized the first-ever Adrian Bulldogs Invitational last November that brought in nine teams and 1,000 spectators to campus.

Schindel came to Adrian after four seasons at his alma mater, University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio. During his tenure with the Purple Raiders, the two-time Ohio Athletic Conference Coach of the Year developed six All-Americans, 14 national qualifiers, nine NWCA Scholar All-Americans, 16 All-OAC First Team selections and posted a 46-20 (.697) dual-match record.
