ADRIAN, Mich. – The women's basketball team played a fast-paced game against rival Trine University on Wednesday in a 79-65 victory over the Thunder. The Bulldogs swept the season series over Trine and did so by connecting on 10 three-pointers and 17 free throws. The team had great contributions across the roster as six different players scored in double figures.
LaQwana Dockery led the team with 13 points and made just one three-pointer coming into the game before going 3-for-3 behind the arc. Casey Fougerousse scored nine of her 11 points in the first half and connected on 3-for-6 from the arc. Adrian responded with a 7-0 run to increase their lead back to 59-45 with 8:42 remaining. The Thunder did not threaten after that run and Adrian improved to 11-10 overall and 7-6 in the MIAA.
