ADRIAN, Mich.--Adrian College Women's Basketball is assisting Disaster Relief at Work, Inc. (DRAW) in providing supplies to communities that have been affected by natural disasters, Bulldogs coach Kathy Morris said. And the team needs YOUR help. DRAW is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing relief services to communities that have been hit by natural disasters.
The Bulldogs and their followers are helping meet the immediate needs of disaster survivors by collecting ANY of the following items to help fill themed five-gallon buckets. A family bathroom bucket includes four towels, tube of toothpaste, pack of razors, four washcloths, four toothbrushes, comb, four-pack of toilet paper, bar of soap, set of nail clippers, stick of deodorant, and bottle of shampoo.
A cleaning bucket includes ANY of the following items: five scouring pads (not steel wool), can air freshener (aerosol or pump), 50 clothes pins, one pair work gloves (leather palm necessary), seven sponges, five dust masks (disposable, sealed in a bag), one scrub brush, dish soap (16- to 28-oz. bottle), 18 cleaning towels (reusable wipes), liquid laundry detergent (two 25-oz. or one 50-oz. bottle), one household cleaner ( 12- to 16-oz. bottle that can be mixed in water, no spray bottles), clothes line (two 50-foot or one 100-foot), two pair disposable waterproof gloves (rubber or latex acceptable), 24-bag roll of heavy duty trash bags (33-45 galllon, remove roll from box and roll into two sets of 12), and one insect repellent, non-killing spray (6- to 14 oz. can, aerosol spray or pump with protective cover).
The Bulldogs will be collecting ANY item you wish to donate at the next home football game on Saturday, Sep. 16 (7 p.m., Docking Stadium) versus Rockford. The team will organize filling the designated buckets and delivering to the DRAW warehouse in Pontiac.
