KETTERING, Ohio--The Adrian College women's bowling team knocked down 6,884 total pins to place 10th out of 29 teams at the UPIKE Orange and Black Classic that was contested on Oct. 13-14 at Poelking Lanes.
Junior Jordyn Stone led the team with a 926 series. Stone averaged 185.2 for five games, placing 17th out of the large field that numbered 204 individuals. Senior Marissa Land also helped the team as she averaged 179.8 for her five games, totaling 899 for 30th place. Freshman Kylie Middleton bowled five games for an average of 178.4. Middleton had a total of 892, placing her 33rd. Freshman Lyndsey Spillers bowled three games for an average of 160.
The top-eight for bracket play consisted Pikeville, Lindenwood, Savannah College Art and Design, Notre Dame-Ohio, Campbellsville, Lawrence Tech, Wright State and Bowling Green State--with the Bulldogs just missing the cut Wright State beat Campbellsville for the championship.
