OSTRANDER, Ohio--The Adrian College women's golf squad finished the two-day, 36-hole Ohio Wesleyan University/The Bump Invitational on Sunday at the Mill Creek Golf Club, recording a 365+355=720 for seventh place.
Sophomore Sierra Woodcum posted her best score of the season (for 36 holes) to pace the Bulldogs with an 86+89=175, which was tied for 25th place out of 60 individuals. She was followed by freshman Brooke Symons (89+91=180, T-34th), senior Emily Bristow (94+87=181, 36th), junior Elizabeth Barrett (96+88=184, T-38th) and freshman Katelyn Church (114+113=227, T-54th) who was making her collegiate debut.
NCAA Division II provisional Davenport overcame a five-stroke deficit after 18 holes to clip Division III Denison to capture the team title, 327+322=649 to 322+329=651.
Adrian will have a quick turnaround as the Bulldogs are in action again on Monday (1 p.m.) at the Steven L. Tyler Intercollegiate Tournament in Portage, Mich. The event is hosted by Kalamazoo College at The Moors Golf Club.
