Bulldogs Hold Course in Sixth Place but Improve Four Shots at MIAA Women's Golf Fall Championships

BATTLE CREEK, Mich.--The Adrian College women's golf team concluded the fall semester with a sixth-place finish at the 2017 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Fall Championships held at the Bedford Valley Golf Course on Saturday. The Bulldogs carded a two-day, 36-hole total of 350+346=696

Sophomore Brooke Symons paced Adrian with an 80+80=160 for eighth out of 50 individuals. She was followed by seniors Elizabeth Barrett (86+88=174, 26th), Sierra Woodcum (90+89=179, T-32nd), Alysa Graf (94+89=183, 37th), and junior Ashley Morris (109+104=213, 47th). Freshman Hannah McKee competed as an individual (100+104=204, 46th).

St. Mary's College beat Hope College (324+320=644) in the team field with a 314+301=615, and the Belles' Taylor Hunter edged sister and teammate Hunter for medalist, 75+75=150 to 75+77=152. Another teammate Lauren Read also was the runner-up with a 79+73=152.

Adrian will resume its 2017-18 slate in the spring.
