Lewicki Named NCHA Offensive Player of the Week

WAUKESHA, Wis. - Adrian senior Kristin Lewicki was named the Offensive Player of the Week in The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) for week two of the season, announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Lewicki had a phenomenal start to her senior campaign, scoring three goals on just five shots in two games, both wins, for the Bulldogs. Two of her goals were game-winners, one of which also came on a power play. Additionally, she added three assists to her stat line to give her a total of six points for the week.

The Moundsville, West Virginia native started the week, scoring the second goal of the game, a game-winning power play goal, against St. Nortbert in a 3-1 victory over the Green Knights. She also had the lone assist on the final goal of the game in the second period.

In the second game against Concordia (Wis.), the 2016 All-American scored the first two goals in the 6-1 win. She would have the primary assist on the final goal of the second period that put Adrian up 4-1 over the Panthers entering the final intermission of the game. She recorded the secondary assist on the final goal of the game to finish the week with three goals and three assists.

This is Lewicki's first NCHA Offensive Player of the Week of this season and second of her career.

Lewicki leads the Bulldogs to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to face the Sabres of Marian University on Friday, November 11 at 8:00 p.m., before returning home to host Lake Forest in the team's home opener on Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
