Bulldogs Thump Trine 8-1

ADRIAN, Mich. – The No. 4 ranked Adrian College women's hockey team rolled to an 8-1 victory over Trine on Saturday night. Neysa Miller and Rose Krasofsky each scored twice to accumulate half of the Bulldog scores in the game.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED

Freshman Neysa Miller put Adrian on the board at the 6:39 mark of the first period when she scored her first career goal on the first power play opportunity for the Bulldogs. Fellow freshmen Freya Holferty (first collegiate assist) and Sydney Daversa (second assist) received assists on the play. Sophomore Kelly O'Sullivan scored her fourth goal of the season to give Adrian the 2-0 lead that the team would take into the first intermission. The Bulldogs tallied a total of 13 shots on goal in the first period while holding Trine to only two shots on goal.

Adrian added another 19 shot, scoring twice, to bring the shot total to 32 after the second period. Miller scored her second goal of the night at 9:20 mark of the second period to give the Bulldogs a 3-0 lead. She was assisted on the goal by Olivia Fox (third assist of the season). Rose Krasofsky tallied her fourth goal of the year in the 15th minute of the second to give Adrian the 4-0 lead. Assistant captain Hannah Dalrymple and Lexi Grunden assisted on the play.

The Bulldogs continued to pull away from the Thunder, scoring four more times in the final period of regulation. Olivia Fox scored in the opening minute of the period on an Adrian power play to put the score at 5-0, Bulldogs. Captain Kristi Zink (5) and Tory Harshman (3) were on the assists for the goal. Brianna Buchanan scored her second goal of the season at the 1:55 mark of the third—assisted by Zink and Maggie Mitter—to put Adrian up 6-0. Krasofsky scored her second goal of the game 3:07 into the third to put the Bulldogs ahead 7-0. Shelly Czarnowczan (2) and Kortney Diaz (2) tallied assists on the play.

Trine's Sierra Westner scored a goal for the Thunder at the 6:14 mark of the period to cut the Adrian lead to six. Kortney Diaz (assisted by Jacqueline White and Krasofsky) finished off the game's scoring, beating the goalie on the power play with only 1:08 remaining in regulation.

TOP DOGS

Maggie Mitter had a game-high 11 shots on goal for the game. She also notched one assist and was 7-12 in the faceoff circle.

Rose Krasofsky (2+1=3) and Neysa Miller (2+0=2) each scored twice for the Bulldogs.

Brianna Buchanan (1+1=2), Kelly O'Sullivan (1+0=1), Olivia Fox (1+1=2), and Kortney Diaz (1+1=2) each scored a goal in the winning effort.

Kate Turner (W, 4-1) saved 10 of the 11 shots she faced to record her fourth win of the season.

THE OPPOSITION

• Sierra Westner scored the lone goal for Trine as she led the team in shots with four.

• Emily Moore and Eryn Isaacson each had an assist.

• Molly Scarborough (L, 1-2-0) made 33 saves for Trine. Ryan Harth made 22 saves in relief.

UP NEXT

Adrian will host St. Scholastica in a two-game weekend series starting Friday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m., ET. The Saints are currently at the top of NCHA standings.
