Three Adrian Women's Lacrosse Athletes Named to IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - Katie Barnes, Annika Nuler, and Jenna Carter were among the 531 student-athletes honored when the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced the 2017 IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday, July 26, 2017.

To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater.

Barnes finished the 2016 season with 22 ground balls and eight caused turnovers. The graduate defender also scored once and tallied an assist.

Nuler led the team with 31 points (30 goals, one assist) and 36 ground balls. She finished with the second-most draw controls (39) and caused turnovers (14).

Carter led the team with 15 caused turnovers. She was the team's fourth-highest scorer with 27 points (20 goals, seven assists). She tallied the third-most draw controls (29).

Nuler and Carter were both named to the 2017 MIAA Academic Honor Roll last week. The duo were also on the conference honor for the 2016 season. All three Bulldogs made their IWLCA list debut with this year's announcement.
