Rice Named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week

FREELAND, Mich. – Adrian College women's lacrosse senior Annie Rice was named the Offensive Player of the Week last week by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on Monday, March 11.

Rice tied for the team lead in points on Monday's 12-11 loss to Ohio Wesleyan, with two goals and two assists for four points. She then had a game-high nine points in Wednesday's 19-7 win over Aquinas. Rice scored the game's first goal and added three more after halftime while picking up five assists. She currently leads the team in points and assists, with 17 points and nine assists. Her eight goals are tied for second on the team.

This is Rice's second Player of the Week award from the MIAA and the first for Adrian in the Asher era. The Bulldogs return to action next Tuesday, March 19 when Hiram comes to town for a 7 p.m. game.
