KANSAS CITY - The United Soccer Coaches national office announced the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer All-Central Region Teams. Caroline Fleming was named to the second team all-central region and Rachel Rodeheffer was named to the third team.
Fleming (Grosse Ile, Mich.) led the Bulldogs offense with 29 points (10g, 9a)--the fourth-highest point total in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA). Her 10 goals were fifth in the conference and her nine assists finished second. Three of Fleming's goals were game-winners for the Bulldogs.
Rodeheffer (Commerce Twp., Mich.) anchored the Adrian defense that totaled 11 shutouts on the year, including a five-game stretch in which the Bulldogs held their opponents scoreless. The sophomore transfer from Schoolcraft College also helped offensively scoring once and tallying two assists. Her lone goal of the year was the game-winner in a 2-1 victory over Calvin and her two assists happened in a 4-0 win over Kalamazoo.
This the first all-region team selection for both Fleming and Rodeheffer during their Adrian College careers. For the women's soccer program, this is the 11th and 12th all-region selections and the first time that the Bulldogs had two players selected for the honor since 2013.
