Fifteen Bulldogs Named NFCA All-Academic Honorees

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – 15 members of the Adrian College softball team were honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA) as All-Academic Student-Athletes for the 2017-18 academic year.

NCAA Division III had the most honorees this year, with 1,600 student-athletes achieving the necessary 3.5 grade-point average minimum.

Head Coach Ashley Marinacci understands the importance of student-athletes working hard in the classroom, saying "We stress that academics are our number-one priority and as a team they take a lot of pride in that. They want to be just as strong on the field as they are in the classroom and that takes a lot of work and dedication, to which I give them a lot of credit. It's not easy being a student-athlete at any level and when you can be successful at both, it's truly something special."
