ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's tennis team picked up its fourth win on the year second Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) win with a 7-2 victory over Alma College at home on Wednesday, April 10. With the win, AC ties its win total from last season.

Adrian started the match out strong, taking two of the three doubles matches. Juniors Samantha Cyrus and Sara Anthony picked up an 8-6 win at the top spot and classmates Makayla Jorgensen and Elena Bishop took the third flight with an 8-1 decision.

Cyrus and Anthony had no trouble picking up two wins on the day, with Cyrus winning her singles match 6-2, 6-0 at the one spot and Anthony taking the two spot, 6-2, 6-2. Bishop won a pair of sets by the score of 6-3 to pick up a point at the four spot and Jorgensen won the fifth flight, struggling a bit in the first set but dominating the second in a 7-5, 6-0 match. The Bulldogs' seventh team point was in the six spot, with junior Julia Maltbie taking care of business, 6-1, 6-3.

Adrian continues its MIAA play on Sunday, April 14 with a match at home against Olivet. The match will start at 12 p.m. and will be played concurrently with the men's teams from the two schools.
