SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Adrian College cross country team traveled to South Bend, Indiana for the MIAA Championships hosted by Saint Mary's College. The Bulldogs placed fifth out of the eight teams on the men's side and seventh out of the nine teams on the women's side.
The men's team was highlighted by Brett Carlisle who finished 20^th overall with a time of 26:39.1. Caleb Billings came in second for Adrian and finished 25^th overall at 27:32.7. Michael Spurio finished 28^th overall for Adrian with a time of 28:08.2 to stay in the top-30. The men's team finished the race with a total of 153 team points.
Calvin won the race with 22 points followed by a second place finish from Hope (49), Trine (67), and Olivet (141).
Emme Koutz led the way for the women's team with a 26^th place finish with a time of 24:26.3. Sydney Feekings placed second for the Bulldogs with a time of 25:53.6 to place 43^rd overall, and Mallory Bowker finished third with a time of 26:22.5 to place 48^th overall.
The Bulldogs will return to action at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional hosted by Franklin College on Saturday, November 13 in Franklin, Indiana. The men's race will begin at 11:00 AM and the women's race will begin at 12:15 PM.
