WACO, Texas – Seven members of the Adrian College acrobatics and tumbling program were named to the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league.
Seniors Brittany Archambeau and Kaleigh Saxon, sophomores Cheyenne Franklin and Jeannette Oubre, and freshmen Meghan Abbee, Brianna Eldredge, and Hannah Jakaus were the seven Bulldogs that made the honor roll. Athletes need to have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 to qualify for the award. They are a part of 223 student-athletes across the country that made the list.
This year was one of the best year's in program history, and they best year in head coach Ellen Barker's tenure. The team went 4-3 to finish with a winning record under Barker for the first time and also eclipsed the 240-point mark for the first time under the coach on senior day against Concordia-Wisconsin. Despite losing that meet, the Bulldogs got the better of the Falcons for the first time in program history with their season-opening comeback win, 224.97-219.57.
