Hunt seat riders finish MSU show with accomplishment

PLYMOUTH, Mich.- The Bulldog equestrian team finished their weekend by competing again Sunday at the MSU show and riders capped their weekend with notable results.

Mary Hawes: 2nd in Open Division Over Fences and 6th on the flat

Ashley Lopez: 3rd in Novice Division Over Fences and 3rd on the flat

Emily Pobuda: 6th in Intermediate Division on the flat section A

Marcia Cripps: 6th in Intermediate Division on the flat section B

Antonina Marano: 5th in Novice Division on the flat

Sydney Simpson: 5th in Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter section A

Chelsea Rice: 5th in Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter section B

Lindsay Durdel: 2nd in Beginner Walk/Trot/Canter

Coach Emily Nett noted her team's progress this season, "These riders have shown great progress every time they ride. The team is really stepping up and becoming more competitive in the ring. Their hard work and practice is evident in their riding and their improved skills are evident in their results."

This was the final competition for the Bulldogs this fall. The equestrian team will compete again this spring when Michigan State hosts the stock seat riders on January 12.
