Hunt Seat Riders Compete at Michigan State University Show

PLYMOUTH, Mich. – The Adrian College hunt seat team competed over the weekend in an event hosted by Michigan State University at Willowbrook Farm. The Bulldogs were led by Chelsea Rice on Saturday as she placed second in the advanced walk/trot/canter division and Eliza Simpkins led the team on Sunday with a first place finish in the open division on the flat.

Saturday (11/15) results:

Mary Hawes - 6th in the Open division over fences and 3rd on the flat

Eliza Simpkins- 6th in the Intermediate division over fences and 4th in the Open division on the flat

Taylor VanMaele- 6th in the Novice division over fences and 5th in the Intermediate division on the flat.

Morgan Petriko- 6th in the Novice division section B over fences and 3rd on the flat.

Morgan Leja- 3rd in the Novice division on the flat

Chelsea Rice- 2nd in the Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter division

Lindsay Durdel- 5th in the Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter division

Sunday (11/16) results:

Mary Hawes- 3rd in the Open division over fences and 2nd on the flat

Eliza Simpkins-6th in the Intermediate division over fences and 1st in the Open division on the flat

Taylor VanMaele- 2nd in the Novice division over fences and 4th in the Intermediate division on the flat.

Morgan Leja-4th in the Novice division over fences and 5th on the flat

Morgan Petriko-6th in the Novice division over fences

Rachel Kanaziz-3rd in the Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter division

Chelsea Rice- 6th in the Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter division
