Leja Leads Hunt Seat Team at Universtiy of Michigan

PLYMOUTH, Mich. – The Adrian College equestrian team in two shows hosted by the University of Michigan over the weekend. Morgan Leja received the Reserve High Point Rider Award for the competition for getting 1st place in both of her divisions after a ride-off between the top two riders of the day. This is the first time in school history that Adrian College had a reserve high point rider at an IHSA regular season competition.

Open Over Fences: Mary Hawes - 5th

Intermediate Over Fences: Eliza Simpkins -  1st

Novice Over Fences: Morgan Leja - 1st

Open Flat: Mary Hawes - 1st

Intermediate Flat: Taylor VanMaele - 6th

Novice Flat: Morgan Leja - 1st

Advance Walk/Trot/Canter: Chelsea Rice - 6th

Chelsea Rice qualified for hunt seat regionals following her rides this weekend and has also advanced to the Novice division.
