ADRIAN, Mich.--The second-ranked Adrian College ACHA Division 1 men's hockey team met up with the No. 4 University of Michigan at Dearborn Wolverines on Thursday night and came away with a decisive 7-3 victory before a large crowd at Arrington Ice Arena. Mike Finger scored three goals and Rainer Glimple added a pair of goals to lead Adrian to their 13th straight win as the Bulldogs remained unbeaten.

Adrian scored first in the contest, taking advantage of a Wolverines penalty to pick up a power play goal by Dominic Moore a little over midway through the first period. Finger then gave the Bulldogs a 2-0 cushion with his first goal, an unassisted marker with 4:24 remaining in the period.

In a wild second period of action the two teams scored a combined six goals, with Adrian scoring four times as Finger completed his hat trick with his second and third goals, while single goals by Glimple and Jordan Oshowy helped the Bulldogs skate into the locker with a 6-2 advantage after 40 minutes.

The Bulldogs took a much more defensive posture in the third period, getting just five shots on Wolverines backup goaltender Adam Ranck, who had replaced starter Thomas Proudlock about midway through the second period, but Glimple did push the Bulldogs advantage 7-2 with his second goal off an assist from Moore.

U-M Dearborn's Nic LaBurn scored the game's final goal on the power play with just 2:49 remaining, after a melee at both ends of the ice sent six men, three from each team, to the penalty box.

Adrian's Michael Barrett stood tall once again in the Adrian net making 33 stops in earning his sixth win of the year, keeping his goals against average at a stalwart 1.50 per game. Adding to the Adrian offensive effort were Josh Hosking and Joe Costello with two assists each, while Oshowy and Moore each had one assist to go with their goals.
