Bulldogs Have Strong Showing at MIAA Championships

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Adrian College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the MIAA Championships this past weekend at Eastern Hills Golf Club in Kalamazoo, Mich. on Saturday, Oct. 27. The men came in sixth while the all-freshmen women's team finished seventh.

TOP MEN FINISHERS

• Freshman Robert Diebold led the Bulldogs, finishing 10th in the conference with a time of 26:01.4. Diebold's 10th-place finish earned him All MIAA Second Team honors, the first Adrian men's cross country runner to be named All-MIAA since 2014.

• Freshman Elijah Sanchez ran a time of 27:52.0 for a 40th place finish.

• Senior Clayton Lange was right behind Sanchez, finishing in 41st with a time of 27:54.7

TOP WOMEN FINISHERS

Amy Adams finished 23th in the conference with a time of 24:11.3.

• Alexandrea Moseley came in 33rd place with a time of 25:36.6

• Corrisa Hamilton ran a 26:01.9 for 42nd place.

UP NEXT

Adrian will next compete at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships in Shelbyville, Ind. The Regional Championships are hosted by Franklin College and will be ran at Blue River Park.
