SHREVEPORT, La. -- The Adrian College bass fishing team had two teams finish in the top 10 at the Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) Collegiate National Championship that took place on the Red River in Shreveport, La., from Wednesday, May 30 through Friday, June 1.

Day one started with 168 teams in the water, each vying for a spot in the final two days of competition. A team could only advance if they finished within the top 10 once the day finished. Adrian was the only team to advance more than one team to the final day of competition.

The two-man teams of Jack Hippe and Nick Czajka (4th) as well as the team of Cody Batterson and Chase Serafin (7th) each finished in the top-10 at the conclusion of the final day.

Hippe and Czajka also qualified for the Ranger Cup Challenge which will put the team in a fish off against another top team in the country. That competition site and date/time have yet to be announced.

Both the FLW National Championship event and the Ranger Cup Challenge will air on NBC Sports at a day/time that has yet to be announced. Stay tuned to for more details as they become available.
