PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The baseball team finished its spring trip with a 6-1 record after a 7-2 win over Medaille on Saturday morning at the Snowbird Classic.
Adrian scored once in the second inning as Michael Herzog drove in Kyle Strawn to tie the game at 1-1. The Bulldogs added three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 4-1 lead. Mitch Stefanski had a two-run double in the inning and then Stefanski scored on a RBI single by Herzog.
Adrian increased its lead to 7-1 with three more runs in the bottom of the fifth. The Bulldogs scored all three runs with two outs as Strawn delivered a two-run double and Stefanski singled home Strawn.
Medaille scored once in the top of the eighth but that was all they could muster. They were playing in their first game of the season. Jason Fryman improved to 2-0 going seven innings and allowing one earned run and four singles. He even struck out the side in the top of the first inning on nine pitches. Rylie Robinson finished the game going two innings and fanning five with one earned run allowed.
