Strawn Earns Second MIAA Player of the Week Honor

ROYAL OAK, Mich.  – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Adrian outfielder Kyle Strawn its Position Player of the Week and Hope righthander Adam Clements its Pitcher of the Week in baseball for games played through April 23.

Position Player of the Week 

Strawn, a senior from Lima, Ohio (Shawnee HS), went 8-for-14 at the plate for a .571 average, drove in five runs and scored three as Adrian won four straight MIAA games from Kalamazoo. He went 3-for-3, including a triple, and had four RBIs in a 11-0 rout of the Hornets in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader. Strawn, who is being honored as Position Player of the Week for the second time this season and in his career, has hit safely in 15 consecutive games and is batting .509 in MIAA play. He has also already set an MIAA record for triples in a season with seven.
