ROYAL OAK, Mich. – Defending co-champion Adrian College has been picked as the preseason favorite to win the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association baseball championship.
The Bulldogs, who shared last year's MIAA championship with Hope and won the conference tournament, received seven out of a possible eight first-place votes in the preseason poll of the league's coaches. Coaches could not vote for their own team. Hope, which was picked to finish second, received the other first-place vote.

Schools will begin non-conference play on February 23, with conference action to begin on March 13. The Bulldogs will open the 2014 season in Port Charlotte, Florida on March 3 against Moravian and will have their home opener on March 15 against Franklin.
