JACKSON, Miss.--Andy Page had two hits and drove in two runs to lead host Millsaps College to a 5-2 non-conference victory over Adrian College on Wednesday evening, as the latter was playing in its season opener for 2016.

= Senior Josh Knorr went 2-for-4 with a walk and run scored.

HOW IT HAPPENED
= The Majors jumped ahead 2-0 in the bottom of the second inning when Logan Patterson had a sacrifice bunt that produced a run and Page hit a run-scoring single to left field.
= But Millsaps added an insurance run in the bottom half as Page had a RBI-single to right-center.
= Adrian hurt itself by leaving 11 runners on base, including eight in scoring position. The Bulldogs had the bases loaded with one out in the first, but MC pitcher Greg Matthews got out of the jam with a pair of strikeouts.
= Lee Ogletree joined Page with two hits to lead the Majors.
= Starter Greg Matthews was one of nine pitchers who each threw an inning used in the contest. He was credited with the win after striking out the side while allowing two walks and a hit.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= With the win, the Majors draw even 2-2 in the all-time series. Before tonight, Adrian won the previous meeting, 16-8, on Feb. 27, 2011, in Demorest, Ga.
= The Bulldogs are 10-13 in season openers under head coach Craig Rainey, who lists 28th among winningest active coaches in NCAA Division III.
= Adrian will stay here to play Blackburn in a two-game series on Saturday and Sunday.
