Six-Run Rally in the Sixth Inning Backs First Career Win for Junior Shane Healy

ADRIAN, Mich.--Junior starting pitcher Shane Healy earned his first career win and classmate Ryan Dorow went 3-for-5 with a home run to key a 12-hit attack as Adrian College walloped Maple City rival Siena Heights, 9-3, in a non-conference baseball game on Tuesday evening.

= Junior Ryan Dorow had two singles and belted a three-run blast deep over the left field wall, extending his hitting streak to 17 games.

= Healy threw six innings while scattering eight hits and allowing three runs (1 earned).

= Junior reliever Kyle Shepherd earned his first career save in a Bulldogs uniform, throwing three scoreless innings in which he allowed just one hit and he did not walk a batter.

Travis Stricklin went 4-for-4, including two doubles, and he scored twice.

= Siena Heights recorded nine hits and had seven runners left on base.

= Adrian broke a 3-all tie with six runs--all with two outs--in the bottom of the sixth inning, when the Bulldogs sent 10 men to the plate. Senior Josh Knorr hit a go-ahead double to right-center field to bring home senior Gunnar Glodich, who led off with a single to right.

= Dorow, the next batter in the decisive frame, gave the Bulldogs some insurance when he connected for his eighth home run of the season. Senior Matt Andrus and sophomore Brian Gucks capped the scoring outburst with back-to-back RBI-doubles.

Austin Hauck gave the visitors a 1-0 lead with a sacrifice fly in the top of the second before Adrian replied with three runs in its home half. Junior Dakota Cararo had a RBI-groundout while junior Ian Mikowski, Knorr hit back-to-back RBI singles.

= Trailing 3-1 in the top of the sixth, SHU tied it when Adrian turned a double play and John Watts had a RBI-single to center field.

= Dorow is batting .458 (33-for-72) during his hit streak, increasing his average 69 points over the last three weeks to .407. He leads the conference with eight homers and 43 RBI.

= Adrian avenges a 4-3 walk-off loss at Siena Heights on Thursday. The Saints lead the all-time series 42 to 30, and the Bulldogs snap a four-game losing streak to SHU.

= Adrian returns to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association action this weekend against Albion College, traveling to the Britons on Saturday (1/3:30 p.m.) before the series shifts to Adrian on Sunday (1/3:30 p.m.).
