ALBION, Mich.--Junior Ian Mikowski led the offense with five hits and four runs batted in on the day, and sophomore Tommy Parsons pitched a combined shutout in the opener, as Adrian College swept a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association baseball doubleheader from Albion College on Saturday, 11-0 and 6-3.

= Mikowski was a catalyst at the top of the Bulldogs' lineup, going 5-for-7, including two doubles, with five runs scored and four RBI in the twinbill.
= Parsons teamed with classmate Guy McComas to keep the Britons off the scoreboard in the first game. The former struck out six and gave up only two hits in six innings of work, while the latter struck out the side in the bottom of the seventh inning while giving up two walks.
= Shane Lindemann and Logan Priebe had the Britons' hits--both singles--in the opener.
= Lindemann had two RBI in the second contest and Priebe went 3-for-3.
= Justin Dennis had two hits and scored two runs in a 6-3 defeat.
HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 1
= Adrian scored seven times in the top of the third and never looked back. Gertley started it with a bases loaded walk and Mikowski capped the big inning with a two-run double.
= Parsons had a perfect game until Priebe singled with one out in the sixth.
HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 2
= The Bulldogs never trailed, taking leads of 2-0 after one, 3-0 after two and 4-3 after five.
= Junior Shane Healy continues his strong pitching out of the bullpen, getting the win (1-1) after 3-2/3 scoreless innings allowing three hits with a walk and strikeout.
= Classmate Zach Dunn continues to impress in a closer's role, striking out two in the ninth inning to earn his second save this season.
= Senior Matt Andrus knocked in what proved to be the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth, plating Knorr who led off with a single. Adrian led 4-2 at the time.
= In the home half of the inning, Lindemann got a run back for the Britons on a RBI-groundout to score Dennis who led off with a single.
= Trailing 3-2, Albion scored twice in the third on a pair of sacrifice at-bats.
= The Bulldogs added two insurance runs in the ninth inning. Dorow had a RBI-double and would score on a throwing error on the play.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= Dorow extended his hitting streak to 19 games, increasing his season batting average to .411. He is 38-for-77 (.494) during the streak. He leads the conference with 51 hits and 44 RBI.
= Dunn hasn't allowed an earned run in his last 11-1/3 innings over a six-game span.
= Parsons lowered his earned-run average to 2.37, which is second in the MIAA, and he leads the conference with seven victories.
= Like Dorow, Mikowski has been hot at the plate. He is now batting .406 after getting a hit in his last 16 outings, including multiple hits in six of the last seven. He also paces the MIAA with 20 stolen bases.
= Adrian swept a doubleheader at Albion for the first time since April 29, 2011, and has won the last four meetings overall.
= The Bulldogs are on a seven-game winning streak--the longest this season.
= These same two teams conclude their MIAA four-game series on Sunday at Nicolay Field on the Adrian campus. Game 1 (7-innings) is scheduled to start at 1 p.m., followed by the second (9-innings) at approximately 3:30 p.m.
