Bulldogs Fall for First Time on the Road to Elmhurst 82-50

ELMHURST, Ill.--The Bulldogs (5-2) dropped their second straight game of the season. This time on the road at Elmhurst (5-1) 82-50. Christian Covile led the Bulldogs in the losing effort by falling just short of a double double with nine points and nine rebounds.

DaVonte Harris led the Bulldogs offensively with 13 points. The Bluejays had three players score double digit points in the victory.

Elmhurst outshot Adrian from the floor, shooting 50 percent versus 31.7 percent for the Bulldogs. Adrian struggled from the three-point line going 6-for-23, 26.1 percent. Elmhurst edged the Bulldogs in rebounds 42-29.

The Bluejays used a 13 point run to gain the double digit lead over the Bulldogs with 10 minutes and 29 seconds left in the first half and never looked back. Elmhurst would take a 49-30 lead into halftime.

The Bluejays would continue to build on their lead throughout the second half getting the lead up to 32 by the time the game ended.

The Bulldogs will look to bounce back this Saturday when they travel to face Case Western Reserve. Opening tip is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
