The game stayed close through the first half with neither team able to pull away. There were nine ties and five lead changes, all of which were in the first half. The first half ended with a 40-37 Alma lead.
Alma began to pull away in the second half. They achieved a double digit lead with a little over nine minutes left in the half and they would never look back.
Despite the loss, Adrian out rebounded Alma 33-29. The Scots shot 29-44 (65.9%) from the floor, 9-19 (47.4%) from three and 18-24 (75%) from the free throw line. The Bulldogs shot 27-71 (38%) from the floor, 5-21 (23.8%) from three and 7-10 (70%) from the charity stripe. Alma also converted seven steals into 14 points.
