Covile Named Men's Basketball MIAA Player of the Week for Second Time this Season

FREELAND, Mich. – Adrian College men's basketball senior Christian Covile was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) men's basketball player of the week for the second time this season and second time of his career.

Covile led the team in scoring in both games of the week. The first game at Kalamazoo he scored 23 points and six rebounds in the 100-63 victory over Kalamazoo.

The following game at Olivet Covile scored a career-high 42 points. That mark is also the second most points in a single game in Adrian College men's basketball history and the most points scored by a player in the MIAA this season. He also tallied 10 rebounds to give him his seventh double-double of the year.

The Bulldogs take the court again on Wednesday, February 3. Opening tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
